Miami – La cuarta edición de Lal América Viva Gala Cocktail se llevó a cabo la semana pasada (12 de marzo de 2025) la cual transformó el Thomson Plaza for the Arts del Adrienne Arsht Center en una deslumbrante celebración de la herencia hispana. Uno de los momentos más destacados de la noche fue la entrega de la Medalla Inca Garcilaso 2025 a tres distinguidos homenajeados:
- Fundación Celia Cruz – En conmemoración del centenario del nacimiento de Celia Cruz y su perdurable legado musical.
- Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation – En reconocimiento a más de una década fomentando la próxima generación de talentos de la música latina.
- Miami Children’s Chorus – Por más de 60 años cultivando jóvenes voces en el ámbito musical.

La velada comenzó con una espectacular presentación multicultural a cargo de la New Land Dance Company y el América Viva The Class Dance Program, marcando el inicio de una noche emocionante e inspiradora.
El Miami Children’s Chorus deslumbró con una presentación conmovedora, con sus voces armonizando en un tributo al empoderamiento juvenil a través del arte. Por su parte, la Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation exhibió el talento de sus becarios, quienes ofrecieron actuaciones fascinantes que reflejaron su pasión y destreza en la música latina.
Para cerrar la noche, la artista ganadora del Grammy Aymée Nuviola y su banda rindieron homenaje a la «Reina de la Salsa», Celia Cruz. Su emotiva presentación llenó la sala de nostalgia, mientras la audiencia se dejaba llevar por el ritmo de la música atemporal de Celia, un testimonio de su influencia duradera a través de generaciones.
